Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Stokes Partnership for Children (SPC) has a very special gift for ALL of Stokes County's young children under 5 years of age. Due to its successful fundraising efforts SPC is now offering Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library offers any child a free, developmentally appropriate book once per month from the time they are born until their 5th birthday. Once children are enrolled in the program, books are mailed to their home each month. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library encourages reading along with parent and child interaction ultimately helping children enter kindergarten with established pre-literacy skills critical to later reading success.

To enroll your child go directly to the website by clicking the link below or call 336-985-2676. It's that simple and best of all it's FREE.

This program is supported by private donations through the fundraising efforts of Stokes Partnership for Children and by support from the NC General Assembly through state funding to Smart Start. The most popular fundraising event, BBQ for Books, is held each fall. All proceeds from BBQ for Books go toward the Howard Mabe Literacy Fund, which supports Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and other early literacy initiatives in Stokes County.  SPC accepts donations year round to sponsor children. For only $25, one child will receive a book a month for a whole year through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. With the help of sponsors more children can be enrolled! Click the link below to donate via PayPal or simply mail in your check.
