Programs for Early Childhood
Professionals:
Technical Assistance
Technical Assistance is available through CCR&R staff to
support the individual needs of child care providers and
other early childhood professionals. These services are
available on or off site. Services include but are not
limited to Resource Library (Link), child care start up
information, laminating material, assessing classrooms using
the Environment Rating Scale, management strategies,
developing professional development plans and training
classes.

Resource Library
The Resource Library is located within Stokes Partnership for
Children. It is loaded with lots of great resources for
teachers, parents, grandparents, children and students such
as children’s books, activity boxes, puzzles, school
readiness books, die cuts, large and small laminators, parent
help books, early childhood magazines, etc. Items can be
checked out for two weeks free of charge.

Training Workshops
Our Division of Child Development (DCD) approved training
workshops are offered monthly for a small $7.00 fee. The
$7.00 fee covers the cost of materials and the meal offered
during the training.

Enhancing Quality through
Professional Development (EQPD)
Helps child care providers to raise or maintain their
star-ratings by providing technical assistance to help
improve the quality of their programs. In addition, EQPD
helps early childhood professionals develop a professional
development plan with the goal of increasing their current
education level by offering financial incentives for per
course and milestone achievements.

Early Childhood Advisory Committee
Involvement in this committee provides an opportunity for
early childhood professionals and other professionals
connected with the child care world to share ideas, support
and learn from one another. Meetings are held on the fourth
Thursday of each month at the Stokes Partnership for Children
conference room.

Stability in Stars
Provides financial support to 4 and 5 star child care
providers to encourage the attainment of the higher star
rating and to address the challenges that these programs face
in maintaining or increasing quality.

T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® Project
Comprehensive scholarships help pay the cost of tuition,
books, and travel, may insure paid release time, require
compensation incentives and encourage retention for child
care providers working on a credential or degree in early
childhood education or child development.

Child Care WAGE$®
Salary supplements that are linked to the education level of
participants are paid every six months as long as
participants remain in child care program.

NC Subsidized Child Care System
Allows licensed Child Care Centers and Family Child Care
Homes to receive payment for child care services provided for
families who are eligible for child care subsidy services
through a locally administered state-supervised voucher
system.

Continued Professional Education
Provides an Early Childhood Forsyth Technical Community
